Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Formed when a giant volcano erupted and collapsed on itself three million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater is a self-contained ecological paradise. The crater floor features permanent fresh water, the saline Lake Magadi teeming with pink flamingos, open savannas, and lerai fever tree forests sheltering critically endangered black rhinos.
